October, 2007 - Note from parent after South Camp Reunion - Camp Quality has outdone itself again! My family had such a great time at the reunion at the farm. What a perfect day, the perfect setting and it was so wonderful to see everyone again! I can't say enough about the catering company, the food was awesome, the animals were so friendly and the hayride was a blast! My family and I really enjoyed everything! I have already come home, made copies of pictures from the CD from camp and what we took at teh reunion..they are waiting for me to pick them up! I plan on doing some scrapbooking because this is something I want them to remember forever, especially...especially their time at camp! Again, thanks so much for everything you have done for our son, our family...it means everything to us!!!--Kelly, Parent of Camper
October, 2007 - Note from parent of camper. The Camp Quality family events are amazing, especially inviting the companions to the reunion for the families to see the love they give our kids. Our clinic is rather slow and isolating and being at the last few Camp Quality events was really refreshing to chat face-to-face with real people that "get it". I also think the companions are amazing, the amount of hugs and love and "happy to see you again's" going around was wonderful to see, everyone seemed truly happy to see each other again. The companions seem like a big family that really seems to enjoy each others company and seem very dedicated to all the kids - not just their own camper.
September, 2007 - Note from former camper. It's been a long time now since I've been involved with Camp Quality but it's still very much a part of me. I was at the very first camp in Northern Michigan at Park of the Pines back in 1987. I feel very fortunate to be here and I know there is a purpose for my life. I remember how magical camp could be to a seven year old child. Please put me on your mailing list and I am hoping to help out in any way possible next August at camp--Jennifer B.
September, 2007 - Note from parent after 2007 Heritage Weekend: I just wanted to thank you very much for letting my little man come to the Heritage Weekend. He had the time of his life. He loved the water park and even did very well at the Tigers game. Just to see his face light up like that was priceless for me and also want to say a very special thank you to allof you for having these events andh ow kind you all were to us this weekend (hug's). From the bottom of our hearts.
September, 2007 - Note from Parent after 2007 Heritage Weekend: Eleanor, thank you to you and your staff for such a wonderful weekend at the Sterling Inn. The kids had a ball swimming. And it was so nice because it was so close to home for us and with our son being in treatment, that was also reassuring. It is so wonderful that God had called you to do this work, because it is so appreciated by this family that has been through so much (as well as many other families too). Thanks again. -Parent of camper.
August, 2007 - Note on North Camp Parent Survey, 2007: "You really do a "TOP QUALITY" camp. All the kids have such a good time there. We also love all the family activities that are offered. You allow us to have many new experiences that most people never have a chance to do. THANKS for being here for our "miracles.""
August, 2007 - Note from Parent of returning camper, 2007: "I can't think of anything that needs improving--as far as we are concerned it is an amazing experience for our son, consistently, year after year. Except PLEASE don't retire, Eleanor! To us, YOU are Camp Quality!"
August, 2007 - Note from Parent of New Family in 2007: "I sent my six year old daughter to Camp Quality in Fenton. This was our first experience with the Camp Quality Family. My daughter had the absolute best time! She has been in contact with her companion, who was awesome, as well as some fellow campers. I want to thank you so much for this opportunity. This was the first time she was away from me and it was so difficult, but a day hasn't gone by that she hasn't mentioned something that happened at camp. This is not something that she is ever going to forget. Thank you!!!!
July, 2007 - Note from Parent of Camper: "We just want to thank everyone for all you have done and continue to do. This is a truly excellent program for these kids who otherwise may not attend camp because of their conditions."
July, 2007 - Letter from Parent of Camper: I'd like to express my complete gratitude for the week you gave my child at Camp Quality. I have to admit, at first, I was nervous to send him, as he has never been far away from me for that length of time. After arriving at camp, getting check in, I was soon comforted by the fact that he had one of the most adequately trained and (later found out) the BEST companion a mother could ask for to care for her child! I thought for sure I'd get a call saying "I want to come home." After the second night without a call, I knew my child must be having a good time!
I thought of them everyday and wondered how they were doing...more so how his companion was keeping up. Needless to say, my child was paired with one of the most amazing people I have ever met! He made a lot of new friends, experienced many new things he has never been able to and overall had an awesome time at Camp Quality. I know these memories will last a lifetime for him!
Friday came and I arrived to pick up my child. I was so overwhelmed with emotion as I watched the slideshow. Watching the slideshow really brought to life how much I missed my child, how precious he is, how they grow so fast, how AWESOME his camping experience was! The pictures taken captured every single essence of being a child, being free to explore, free to play, giggle, to laugh and to have no cares in the world! How special it was for me that my child was included in such a wonderful program. The first thing my son said to me as we left for home was "I liked it and I am going back next year for sure." I knew the program had ended for this year and I was sad..and no..not because I had a child-free week, but because my son had just experienced one of the most memorable events in his life!
I can never tell you how grateful I am that he was able to participate in Camp Quality! Thank you for giving my child an experience he'll never ever forget! ----Parent of Camper
July, 2007 - Another note from parent of a first time camper, 2007 Thank you so much for this program! Although my son was tired for several days after camp, overall I believe his health and stamina improved from camp ("fun" therapy!) Also, he takes his nightly medicine much quicker and easier now (thank you, thank you!) What a wonderful program Camp Quality is!!!
